Grammar topic is ” Past Continuus Tens”.
as i understand that the past continues tense shows a continuous action that began in the past. The past continuous tens is also known as the past progressive tense. it is the past tense version of present continuous, which also describes ongoing actions. the present and past continuous tenses are very similar. but the past continuous uses was and were, the past tense of to be. following the formula of past continuous tense….
{Was / Were} + Present Participle … for example.
While I was cooking, the children were doing their homework.
I was emailing, when the doorbell rang.
I watched the movie when my daughter was sleeping.

Grammar topic is ” Past Continuous Tens”.
Past continuous tense is used to say what were happening in the middle of doing at a particular time in the past.
1- Positive form
S + Auxi. V + main V(ing) + obj.
Ex: He was watching TV at 8 PM last night.
2- Negative form
S + Auxi. V + not + main V(ing) + obj.
Ex: We were not playing football at 9AM yesterday morning.
3- Question form
Was/were + S + main V(ing) + obj?
