How to Be More Positive (Article 12)

“It’s so easy to get discouraged by the daily news, and sometimes it feels like everything is against us.”

I’ve been thinking a lot about how I can be more positive in my life, and I think there’s a very easy answer:

“Don’t let negativity get to you!”

I’m not saying that you should never feel negative emotions. However, there are some ways to deal with them more effectively than others.

So if you want to become more positive, you need to learn to handle the things that make you unhappy.

But how?

The answer is quite simple. You need to stop letting these things affect you. It’s really that simple.

There’s a huge difference between being aware of something and letting it affect you. If you’re aware that something is making you unhappy, but you don’t let it affect you, then you’re already ahead of the game.

STEP 1: Think about the problem

You need to know what’s bothering you, so you can decide what to do next. To start, think about why you feel negative emotions. You may find it helpful to write down your thoughts and feelings on paper.

STEP 2: Know where it comes from

Once you have a clear idea of why you’re feeling bad, you’ll be able to think of a strategy for dealing with it.

STEP 3: Deal with it

Once you know what’s making you unhappy, it’s time to take action. This could mean taking a walk, calling a friend, listening to music, going to bed early, or anything else that helps you cope with the situation.

STEP 4: Practice

Once you’ve dealt with a situation that’s making you feel bad, it’s important to keep practicing. This means that you should practice handling similar situations in the future.

I went through above article, which is very useful and meaningful. Actually, we can’t overcome negative thoughts or negativity. Luckly, we can slowly train ourselves over time on how to think by implementing simple techniques. We are human beings and are surrounded by so many bad and good situations or wrong and right people. But still regular practice, rehearsal and result of the negative thoughts, we can move towards positive attitude. Thank you very much.
