How to Be More Positive (Article 2)

It’s pretty easy to be positive, right? I mean, who doesn’t want to be happy and upbeat?

That being said, being positive can be a bit more difficult than you think.

There’s a difference between optimism and positivity. Positivity is a mindset and a way of looking at life. Optimism is a belief in the future.

Optimism comes from seeing the positive things that happen in life. Positivity is about living in the present and enjoying life, no matter how hard it gets.

What does this have to do with me? Everything!

When you’re living in the moment, you don’t have to worry about the past or the future. You’re fully present and focused on what’s happening right now.

This means that when something bad happens, you can handle it better. Instead of focusing on the negative, you focus on what you can do to move forward and enjoy the positive.

How can I become more positive?

First, start by noticing the good things. This isn’t as easy as it sounds.

We all have bad days where we feel like crap, but you need to be honest with yourself and identify the good things.

The good news is that you’re always going to have good days. You just have to notice them and enjoy them.

Next, change your perspective. Try to look at life from a different angle.

The first thing that comes to mind is “why am I so negative?”

You probably have a number of reasons why you’re negative, but the biggest reason is probably that you’ve been conditioned to think that way.

Think of how much time you spend criticizing others and blaming other people for your problems.

It’s probably a habit you picked up somewhere along the line.

Finally, you need to change your expectations.

Have you ever had a day where everything went wrong?

I’m guessing that there were plenty of times in your life when you felt like crap and didn’t want to get out of bed.

Your day probably didn’t turn out the way you expected.

It’s important to recognize that it happens.

What did you expect? That everything would go perfectly?

Instead, focus on the good things. You had a great workout. You made a new friend. You got a nice surprise from someone you love.

You ate a delicious meal.

Instead of thinking “this sucks”, try to think “wow, this is amazing”.

Every day is full of good things. Focus on them.
